The couple, French Canadians and owners of the prestigious Coulibri Ridge Eco Resort, were reported missing before police discovered their charred remains in a vehicle at Gallion on December 1, 2023.
Given the severity of the fire, the bodies were unrecognizable, forcing investigators to rely on circumstantial evidence. Blackmoore commended the prompt action of the Chief of Police and his team, leading to the swift apprehension of the suspects.
